- Warm, rain, blustery, occasional lightning, temp: 63, high: 67. Rain & thunderstorms.
- Today was our monthly Minnesota breakfast at the clubhouse of the Tierra Del Sol golf course. We had about 21 in attendance.
- Mid morning the guys ran errands: auto parts, auto maintenance, electrical parts - and didn't get home till after 3 o'clock.
- The rain is gone for a week or so and the sun shone this afternoon with temp at 68.
- Biking got even a little warm, but I biked 3.4 miles around The Plantation.
- This afternoon I took a picture of Candy & Dan's trailer that they needed for the title transfer to the new owners. I took the picture, printed it for them, & emailed it to them.
- Our plans for returning to Minnesota are beginning to firm up, particularly as we gain visibility into the weather here and the weather in Minnesota - that 65 degrees yesterday in the Twin Cities kinda prodded us along.
- We are planning to depart here on Thursday, March 19, arriving in Minnesota on Friday, March 20. But I'll keep y'all posted for any change in those plans.
- This evening Jim & Diane played Bingo at the Hall while I attended the concert described below.
- Irene gave me her ticket to the McAllen Concert Series where I saw a performance called Live from Nashville. It was a tremendous show of 4 singers plus 5 band members and everyone of them was very talented and energetic. There was only one thing wrong with the whole show, they sang only "Country" songs, I'm just not a fan of country - but I sure enjoyed the staging, the harmony, the energy, the lighting, and even some "old" country songs like Folsom Prison and Orange Blossom Special.
- Finally, my daughter, Kathy, has had a Honda Pilot for the past 12 years, used it to teach 2 kids to drive, and drove it to work every day. It was the family car for her & Cam. Well it was finally on it's last leg, mechanically. So her & Cam went down to the Nissan dealer and purchased a new Nissan Murano, nice car. I just had to include a picture of Kathy behind the wheel and her new car.

- This morning we have the Minnesota Breakfast at the nearby Tierra del Sol golf course clubhouse. Only had 19 this time.
- From the clubhouse we drove over to The Zone to play Tuesday morning Miniature Golf.
- Also this morning, Kathy sent me a link on how to spot the International Space Station (ISS). Unfortunately it's not visible here in South Texas until the 22nd. But I signed up for electronic alerts so I won't forget. Thanks, Kath.
- With another perfect afternoon, I biked again over to The Plantation streets for 2 1/2 miles.
- Candy's Mom, Irene, isn't up to attending some season tickets to McAllen concert series. So she gave me the ticket as she knows I love classical music. Tonight the show is Susan Egan who sings a variety of Broadway show songs. Should be great as I love show songs. It was an excellent show. Very entertaining. Very professional young woman. Beautiful voice. Well trained.

- But I'm not sure of the year of the picture. I guessed that I was about 5 and Gary was about 3. But we could be a year older than that even. As children, we were both small for our ages.
- cool, breezy morning. temp: 60. High: 70. But no fog this morning. And no rain forecast.
- first off this morning, I have to report that Jim was the Grand Champion at cards last evening at the Hall. He says he never wins but last night he was the big winner. Congrats, Jim.
- the Minnesota Breakfast was held at the nearby golf course club house with about 20 attending. had a good time
- then upon returning, Jim, Dan, & I went over to the Zone Action Park to play mini-golf. After completing 36 holes, Jim beat me by 2 strokes on the front 18 and by 1 stroke on the back 18.
- after that strenuous exercise, we returned for a nap
- then after that rest, I biked 2 1/2 miles around our park.
- finally, we picked up Jim's prescription at Sam's Club & washed the car at H-E-B.
- my son, Dan, called early evening, brought me up to date on news in his world. Thanks, Dan, for the call.
- in the evening J&D played Bingo at the Hall while I watched TV at home.
