- Cooler morning, light breeze, clear (see picture), temp: 57, high: 72.
- I drove Jim to PT while Diane fed our guests: Mavis, Tim, Amy, Brad, & Beth.
- Today was the last day that Jim needs to be driven to PT. His doctor says he needs another month of PT, but beginning Monday, he can drive. I'll bet he's saying, "Yippee!"
- While Jim was having his 90 minute therapy, I drove to a nearby Starbucks for coffee.
- As soon as Jim and I returned, everybody was ready to head for Mexico. So with 8 people, we drove 2 cars over to Progresso Nuevo in Mexico. We walked about 5 blocks South into the city. Along the way, all the women purchased a variety of Mexican items.
- And of course, while we were in Mexico, we had to have lunch at Arturo's
- When I got home I realized that I was missing my credit card. I knew it had to be at either Starbucks or Arturo's. A phone call to Starbucks said they had my card.
- So after we got home, Brad, Tim & I drove back up to Starbucks and picked up my credit card.
- Finally got home just before 7 PM which was too dark to ride my bike. So I missed that again. Ugh.
- Upon return to the park, everyone was ready to go swimming. We don't do that too much in February, so it is indeed a treat.
- I didn't get any pictures today. But I promise I'll take some tomorrow.
- Oh, I almost forgot, the sunrise was so beautiful this morning that I took a picture of it. (Ignore the previous paragraph.) A cold front was moving South. Hence the sky-blue-pink bordered by a huge cloud in the North.

- Cold front came through overnight; morning is cool, windy, blustery, high clouds, temp: 56, high: 58. Light rain today.
- At the Canadians breakfast this morning at Taco Fiesta, we had 9 guys and lots of good conversation, eh.
- Drove Jim & Diane, Dan & Candy, and Wendy to Progresso Nuevo where Wendy bought some souvenir gifts and several purchased medications. While waiting in the van for everyone to return, Candy's phone was lost. Fortunately, we found it when we got home. And as usual, we had a late lunch at Arturo's in Progresso.
- And Dan & Candy's car failed Saturday afternoon. They pushed it into a parking lot and called the police about it. This morning when the businesses came to work, they called a tow company and had it towed away. This afternoon, they found the car at a tow company and had to pay to get it back. It currently is in a garage being diagnosed on what it failed.
- This evening, the women went to play Bingo while Jim went to play cards at the Hall. I rested.
- And to continue my Christmas parade of pictures, recall when Dan & Dawn were here over Christmas, they wanted to go view & photograph the Christmas lights at the Hidalgo Festival of Lights. But of course they had to do that after dark. So it was 9 or 10 o'clock when they'd leave. I was just too tired to go out that late. So I'd stay home. But they brought me lots of pictures, some of which are shown below. (These photos were also taken Christmas night.) Thanks Dan & Dawn for the great memories.

- Last night Jim announced that we were going on a 6 mile bike ride at 9:30 this morning. Hope I can last that long.
- Suppose to be a nice day with temp at 9:30 of 69, wind 11, high of 80 later in the day.
- I'll be back later to report on the bike ride. And yes, I'll add some more pictures later today.
- And I almost forgot. Could someone who has a list of my siblings, Theresa's siblings, and our other relatives, send out an e-mail giving them the address of this blog which is http://tx2015.blogspot.com. Thanks.
- (Saturday morning) Friday turned out to be a very busy day.
- Tropic Star, the park just up the road, had a craft sale with a breakfast of biscuits & gravy. Jim had to have that. So first off, we drove up to Tropic Star.
- Then upon returning, we headed out on our 6 mile bike ride which turned out to be 10 miles - I haven't gone on a bike ride that long for years. But I made it. And I'm not even stiff or sore this morning. See the bike ride pictures below
- We heard that Progresso Nuevo was having a party to welcome back the winter snowbirds. So off we go to Mexico. Bought some meds, vanilla, & had ice cream at Arturo's - our favorite eating spot.
- After supper, Jim went to the hall to play cards while Diane went to McAllen to play Bingo. I stayed home to install my new TiVo with a required DataCARD from Times-Warner. And I can report it's working very nicely with my new 28" Samsung Smart TV.
- In the middle of my setup processing, my youngest son, David, called to chat. Sounds like things in the Twin Cities are going fine except that the cold & snow are continuing (and it's not even Winter yet). Thanks, Dave, for thinking of me.
Bike Ride
- From our place we went West about 3 miles; turned North on 2nd Avenue in a strip park along the water canal; crossed the freeway (see picture) & went up to a reservoir - 2 miles; came back to highway 83 & biked 3 miles back East to 281 (Cage Avenue); the South on 281 2 miles back to home. Below are several pictures I took in route.
Here I'm on the overpass on the sidewalk, where we usually bike, with cars zipping back & forth behind me.
We stop every 3 miles or so for a water break. Our friend, Louie, has a trike & goes about 20 miles a day.
Here we are back home. I decided to finish the travelogue with a "selfie". Know that blind guy behind me?
That's about it for a busy Friday. Guess we're going to the Flea Market today (Saturday).
That's all for now.
